Zoom Room #2: Physiotherapy in mitochondrial disease (paediatrics)

The second in our series of webinars will focus on some of the main physical symptoms and challenges that children under the age of 16 with mitochondrial disease face.

Hosted by Francesca Henderson, Paediatric Neuromuscular and Mitochondrial Physiotherapist at Oxford Children’s Hospital, the session will focus on exercise, pacing and equipment, and aims to share some top tips, suggestions and ideas for consideration to help you manage your symptoms.

Suitable for parents and caregivers of a young patient with mito. Depending on the individual circumstances, families with older children may also benefit from this session.

To help us to tailor the session to the needs of the audience, we would welcome attendees to send any general questions about physiotherapy in advance. However, please note that due to the nature of the session, it won’t be possible to carry out an assessment or give individual advice or suggestions about physiotherapy, exercise or services that a person may be able to access. Specific questions and advice should be discussed with any individual’s treating team.

Please email [email protected] with any questions you would like to ask by 5pm on Tuesday 3rd June.

A big thank you for your support
