Lily's Helping Hand

We are proud to be able to work together with families to co-fund items of specialist equipment that will enrich the lives of children with Mitochondrial Disease. The Lily Foundation will co-fund items up to 50% of the value using online fundraising - JustGiving or Virgin Giving.

The idea behind our scheme is to co-fund specialist items which are not routinely provided by health authorities, but which can give children with Mitochondrial Disease real independence or enjoyment. Items which will be considered include: sensory equipment for house or garden, adapted trikes or pushchairs, other items which will stimulate children who cannot play with standard toys and items that will help independence and development.

lhhalextrike2.jpgIf you would like to apply for our scheme you will need to complete an application form, identifying which item you would like to purchase and how you feel it would benefit your child. Our committee will then consider if they feel the item meets the scheme's criteria.

If approved, The Lily Foundation will contribute up to 50% of the cost of the item once you has raised the other 50% through fundraising activities.

The maximum the Lily Foundation will contribute is £2500.

We will help you to set up the relevant fundraising pages on Just Giving or Virgin Giving and publish your story on our website and social media.

Once your fundraising goal is achieved we can then order the item for you.
