Make every mile count in the fight against mitochondrial disease!
Are you a planning on running, hiking, cycling, swimming or rowing this summer? If so then The Lily Foundation needs your help!
Simply by signing up to our Around The World for Mito campaign, you'll be fighting mitochondrial disease as you get fit. Every sponsored mile you cover will go towards our target of 24,901 miles – the circumference of the Earth! Our aim is to reach our target by September 22, the last day of Mitochondrial Disease Awareness Week.
Taking part is easy. Just register your interest using the form below, and we’ll get in touch to help you get set up. We’ll even help you set up your own JustGiving web page, to make it easy for people to sponsor you.
What does it cost?
There’s a one-off registration fee of £15 for every participant. This helps pay for our partner www.ukvirtualrunning.com to track all the miles on a central totaliser.
How much money do I need to raise?
We suggest a minimum sponsorship total of £50 for each participant. Every amount helps, and more would be amazing!
What do I get from Lily?
We’ll send you a fundraising pack with tips and ideas, a Lily t-shirt, and a limited edition medal on completion of your event, along with a ’thank you' certificate showing the amount you raised. You’ll also have the Lily Fundraising team supporting you every step of the way. If you’re feeling competitive, there's also a trophy up for grabs for the person who clocks up the most miles!
Can I set up a team with family, friends or colleagues?
You bet! Register as a team (or teams) and you can set a target distance to reach together, or even challenge different groups in your workplace or school to clock up the most miles. It’s a great way to pull people together, have fun and get fit, all for a great cause.
Sign up now and start clocking up those miles!
