In 2021 The London Marathon is moving to October and running along side the event in London will be the 2021 Virtual London Marathon.
In 2020 this iconic race had to be canceled to the general public, but the virtual event proved to be an incredible thing to be part of.
This digital experience gave runners many of the experiences of race day (including Paula Radcliffe offering words of encouragement whilst running) whilst being able to stay closer to home and be more flexible in regards to when people completed the 26.2 miles and how long it took them. They ran wearing official running numbers and people supported them all the way. Strangers cheered as people ran passed houses and cars hooting their horns to encourage them to put one foot in front of the other. Everyone received an iconic medal and fabulous finishers t shirt.
So, if you were unsuccessful in the ballot, why not be part of this incredible day and support The Lily Foundation, all our families and help us beat mito.
Places are limited through the public ballot for the event but we do have some guaranteed places waiting for you! All we ask is a suggested fundraising target of £100. Be quick as these will fill up so apply now.
We look forward to celebrating your incredible achievement.
A big thank you for your support
