10 million people in the UK suffer from diseases in which mitochondrial dysfunction is believed to be involved and every day in the UK a baby is born that will develop mitochondrial disease. It’s our aim to raise enough funds to be there to support these families and invest in research to one day find a cure for mito and we are looking for someone like you to join us in making a difference through generating income, raising awareness and encouraging more people to get involved with what we do.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our fundraising team as Fundraising Manager to contribute to the continued growth of The Lily Foundation; Britain’s leading mitochondrial disease charity.

Working closely with the Head of Marketing, the Fundraising Manager will be required to manage the day-to-day running of the Fundraising Department, to develop and implement the fundraising strategy, generate new fundraising streams and lead the fundraising team to achieve ambitious targets from a range of sources including individual giving, corporates, trusts and foundations and other income generating activities.

The candidate we are looking for must have at least 2 years’ experience of successful fundraising in a broad range of areas, have demonstrable experience of writing successful funding applications and project applications, have excellent relationship management skills and be able to demonstrate success in managing fundraising teams.

With the ability to think strategically and inspire the fundraising team with your focus, drive and enthusiasm, it is essential that you can demonstrate an understanding of charity fundraising, have proven expertise in managing budgets and working to financial targets. You must be able to work under pressure, be confident working independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously and have excellent people skills.
