Personal stories

Last week, BBC Points West ran a story about team member Sarah, who came across The Lily Foundation back in 2018 after losing her two daughters to mitochondrial disease.

Sarah immediately began helping families affected by mito, before becoming team Lily’s Corporate Fundraiser.

We were delighted that broadcasters Alex Lovel and Imogen Sellers made time to also mention the fluffy friends involved in our Share a Bear campaign which was aimed at raising awareness of the disease during World Mitochondrial Disease Week – a big thank you to them both!

You can read Sarah’s full story on the BBC News website.
