The Lily 'Bare Your Sole' campaign for Mitochondrial Disease Awareness Week was a big success, raising awareness of the genetic disorder in homes, schools, hospitals and businesses across the country.

Well done to everyone who took part in our 'Bare Your Sole' campaign for Mitochondrial Disease Awareness Week. Thanks to your efforts the campaign was a big success, raising awareness not just on social media but also in homes, schools, hospitals and businesses across the country.

Even some famous feet got in on the act, with stars from the world of TV and sport including Lucy Speed, Phil Tufnell, Josh Widdicombe, Wayne and Frankie Bridge and cast members from Emmerdale all getting their socks off to fight mito.

The effort and creativity that went into all your mito messages was inspiring. Everyone seemed to have so much fun we are considering reviving the campaign next year, so keep those felt tip pens handy.

With your help

So little is known about mitochondrial disease.

With your help, The Lily Foundation can keep funding research that will one day find a cure.

Please donate what you can to help us keep fighting mitochondrial disease and finding hope for all those affected by this incurable condition.
