Join the Butterfly Run – family-friendly, inclusive and fun!

Get ready for the most family-friendly fundraising day of fun! The Butterfly Run, organised by Cure EB, takes place on Sunday 4th October at the stunning Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.

This accessible event welcomes people of all ages and abilities to run, walk or wheel their way through a 1k, 5k or 10k course. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking to have fun whilst helping to fight mitochondrial disease, there’s a race to suit you.

Race options:

  • 10k and 5k races (start together, after the 1k finishes).
  • 1k fun run – perfect for younger participants or those new to running.

Every entrant receives:

  • Official Butterfly Run race t-shirt.
  • Race number and timing chip.
  • Finisher medal to celebrate your achievement.

Family fun:

Make it a full day out! Enjoy face painting, balloon modelling and even a classic egg and spoon race to keep the little ones entertained.

Please note:

  • The 10k race is open to anyone age 13 and over.
  • The 5k race and 1k fun run are open to all ages.
  • Entry for the 1k fun run is per race number only, so if you’re only running alongside your child to support them, you do not need an additional entry.
  • Children are the responsibility of their parent (or accompanying adult) at all times.
