Peter Kay’s record-breaking live arena tour is currently wrapping up its final UK dates, with summer shows to come in Leeds, Birmingham, London, and Manchester. Or so we thought…
We’re over the moon to share that Peter is extending his tour! Nine brand-new dates have just been announced, and in an incredibly generous gesture, profits from ticket sales across all nine shows will be split equally between three charities – including The Lily Foundation!
The surprise additional dates, in Cardiff, Hull, Brighton and Blackpool, were revealed live by Peter himself on Sara Cox’s BBC Radio 2 show this morning.
Peter’s been a great supporter of our charity in the past – as well as once hosting our Lily ball, in 2018 he donated over £34,000 from special screenings of Car Share at Blackpool Opera House, helping to raise national awareness.
As a charity dedicated to supporting those affected by mitochondrial disease and funding life-changing research, we’re beyond grateful to Peter and his team for choosing to once again support our cause. The funds raised from these extra shows will make a massive difference to the patients and families we support every day.
